I've got a sony experia XA....my Wi-Fi on it is intermittent,all other devices in the house are fine.I've rebooted phone and Wi-Fi router.Sometimes I get connected,no internet message,authentication problem message,it seems very slow when it does connect,can't access my mobile banking app .Any help appreciated..tia.

Try forgetting the wifi connection on your phone to the router, then set it up again.

Still can't get on mobile banking,and WhatsApp messages take ages to send.There's a little x by my signal bar ..could that be the cause..?

Yes, that means there's no data connection.

If you've done all the resets and reboots it could be the phone is faulty.

Aaahhhhh ok 👌.. Do you think returning to factory settings would help ? If I can figure out how to back up my data 😁

It is certainly worth a try.

Use Xperia companion to backup your phone and reinstall the firmware.
