Visual Voicemail tab has disappeared on my Pixel 7

Apologies if this appears twice - can't find the original, so don't know whether it's posted or not...

So, my Pixel 7 was playing happily with Visual Voicemail, but since Sunday it hasn't... By which I mean the tab has disappeared in the bottom of the Android Phone app. And the option to switch VV on and off has also disappeared from the Phone app Settings.

I have Android 15 Beta 3.1. But as far as I know, no Phone app updates and no OS updates happened on Sunday. 

Have tried rebooting the phone and also resetting mobile settings to no avail.

I've been in touch with Google. After been transferred three times on the chat they told me how to switch it on (via the non-existent menu item in settings) and then pointed the finger at O2...

If you are on the Beta then it needs to be submitted via the Feedback app, or the Official Reddit Group, no point putting it on the store review... @Tazuk

@madasaf1sh appreciate the advice but the disappearing VV tab is not a beta issue. 

Both my SO and I have it and we aren't running beta, and given that there is no official bug report path for any Google software other than firing a feedback form into the ether I've found over many years as a user that reporting on all the limited channels available can sometimes help make it visible.

I said if you are on the Beta then it needs reporting via the Beta Channels, and then it can be picked up via the Developers to be fixed (at some point) in an RC candidate or further Beta's 

You can submit issues via the official pixel community as well..

Looks like this Visual Voicemail bug has now been fixed with phone app release 138.0.654539475 (dated 29-Jul-2024)

I downloaded version 138 this morning and immediately got the welcome to visual voicemail SMS from O2,  and I've received a voicemail which is playable, which is a very good sign...

I have been trying other versions from APK mirror. They sometimes seem to work for a while, but then after a few hours, something happens somewhere that triggers a text to say I've received a voicemail (when I haven't received any) and then I find it all broken again (much as I did at the very start of this thread!).

If it's still working tomorrow, I guess this is solved (until next time :-))
