Unlocked Galaxy Note 5 from US unable to download O2 apps

My Note 5 was unlocked from T Mobile (US), Im using it with O2 sim card but all apps wont down load, seems Google play doesnt recognize my phone here in UK.

Is there a workaround?

Depends what frequency band the Note 5 is . Have a look here and see which band you have

Then check the network frequencies as shown above. if it isn't compatible it won't work on O2.

@Anonymous You may be out of luck as it came from T-Mobile US. Check the bands that @Cleoriff has provided.

 

Edit: According to the link below, if you put in the details of a Note 5 from US T-Mobile, it should work on 2G and 4G, and maybe on 3G. Check for yourself:

So assuming the hanset picks up the correct bands, it might be missing settings. Text ACTIVE to 2020 for free and the apn settings will be sent to you.

The bands will only effect 4d. 2g and 3g will be fine anyway.
Have you tried it on wifi to connect to play store and have you got the latest google services installed?

Go to settings > google play services app > tap build version > an update button should appear > tap that to update.

OP should be using WiFi to update anyway. Waste of data and very expensive to do it otherwise.

I agree but the method wasn't mentioned and everyone was assuming it was a band problem, which it isn't.
