Sticky power button on s6 edge

Anonymous
Not applicable
Currently having problems with a sticky power button, it is still working but I do t have the click sound and I am a bit worried it will eventually develop into a non working power button. Anybody else had this issue? And if so any joy in resolving it?

As has been advised before, send your phone back to Samsung for repair under the warranty. Deal with Samsung directly (rather than taking the phone back to the store you bought it from), as you'll avoid the middleman and will get the repair/replacement sorted much quicker.

If Samsung are anything like Apple, they'll just replace the phone. Your old phone would then be repaired and put back into the replacement programme to be given to someone else. However, there are no guarantees that they'll replace it, and you might just end up with your old phone back with a new button and the same scratched screen wink

I don't care what rank I am and neither should anyone else.

I could probably repair it myself (yeah me) Happy Dance

I would just use a toothpick to free it up.....(It works when I have a 'sticky' button on my laptop keyboard) Whistle

Apple do (and did when I had the same issue with the home button on my 5S)... That's why I made the comparison.

Apple customer service is second to none but back in the real world....

Pay over the odds for technology 2 years out of date then you should expect a little customer care!

Apple replace and refurbish the replaced phone. This then goes into the pot to be another replacement for the next customer so the phones go round and round for ever.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
