Old for husband sim working in LG put in a better phone he couldn't work it so put sim back now that phone doesn't recognise sim. But it did?

Check it is inserted correctly but if it is damaged you will need a new one.

If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.
Or you can call into your local O2 store and take some ID with you.
