Screen problem with an iPhone 5S

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have a problem with an iPhone 5S that I've had for 18 months.

After charging the phone for a while (not a full charge) I attempted to unlock it and nothing happened. The screen is completely dead. Every now and again Siri chirps up 'sorry I don't understand' and if anyone calls me the phone rings but I can't answer it.

The handset hasn't been dropped (well, not for many months), but I'm guessing I'm going to need a new screen.

My questions are... has anyone had a similar experience? Is warranty on an iPhone 5s 12 months? Is it best to take it back to an O2 shop or an Apple shop? Any other advice/comments are most welcome.

Thanks all.

@AnonymousIt will be a 12 month warranty (unless you took out Apple Care)....but I would take it to Apple...leave O2 repairers well alone....

It's 12 months only unless you have applecare+ ?
Apple will give you a diagnostic on it and a price for an out of warranty repair/replacement.
Personally, I wouldn't even bother with O2.
