The Oreo update is now being rolled out in Germany, Poland and India.

Does O2 have a release date yet?

Thanks. I suspect it isn't the latest version, if you get my meaning, but it's probably the most recent one that's been approved for distribution. Hopefully Oreo will overtake it before too much longer has passed.

Yes, it's the latest version that has been released by Samsung.
I suspect O2 have approved the December or even the January security patch, but neither have been rolled out yet by Sammy.

O2 are awful for rolling out new UI, do what I've been doing since the S2, root and flash a custom rom. I've been usuing Oreo for a few weeks now and I know you'll all say well it voids your warranty, well I've never had a sammy phone that's been faulty. For all your rooting and flashing etc, head to the XDA site, cut the middle man out.

Samsung are laughable, I'd rather give £900+ to charity and I have, Dove House Hospice, Hull.

O2 are awful period. From their chronically slow updates to their woeful customer service. Think I'll be switching to EE when my contracts up. They at least appear to value their customers!

I would have to agree that they are terrible at releasing updates but I have not had a bad experience with their customer service, that has been professional and quick.

Things need time for testing. If they rushed a release and it messed your phone up, people wouldnt be happy.

Haha, yes, things need time for testing, a few months maybe. Funny thing is when I upgraded my phone to the S8 in August last year I had Oreo (beta) on my old Nexus 6P...

I bet Android 9 (P) is released before we see Oreo on O2 S8s.

That is exactly my issue, when I upgraded from my Nexus 6p last year I was already on Oreo. It has left a really sour feeling and as I said prior I think this will force me away from Samsung.
