The Oreo update is now being rolled out in Germany, Poland and India.

Does O2 have a release date yet?

@bob0411 I think you will find that no UK carriers have rolled out Oreo for their own supplied S8 phones, including EE. I believe EE users are also still on the November security update.

@hayw77 Then perhaps a handset change is in order also. I'm not in the habit of enabling poor customer service so both Samsung and O2 have lost my business.

Incidentally, the last S8 firmware update was available on EE almost 4 weeks before it was on O2 (01/01/18 as compared to 25/01/18). Source - sammobile.

I believe the reason for that was there was a specific O2 January build which required O2 testing. This was not the case for EE. There were no specific O2 builds in February and March, and these were received on my phones early in each respective month.

@hayw77 Sorry, what are you saying you received in February and March exactly?

@hayw77 Thanks, I think that in a nutshell is why people are getting annoyed with Samsung and O2, both dragging their heels with software releases and both need to raise their game if they wish to retain their loyal customers.

@CraigR Thanks, stand by for imminent latest round of excuses from O2 (or not). Beaten by Vodaphone, frequently voted one of the worst UK carriers, how embarrassing!

Now released on Three UK. Looks like O2 is going to be the last operator in the UK to offer Oreo to its customers.

Now that two big UK operators have released the update perhaps @Chris_K can give us on O2 an ETA?
