Hi, first time poster.
I currently have an Samsung S3 and it has a problem that has been getting consistently worse over the last month or so.
The device seems to lose all power and then crash to an off status, when trying to power back on it shows a 0% battery before crashing.
This usually starts with the screen flickering as though it's connection or power supply is loose and then the whole phone crashed.
This first happened around the end of November/start of December and at around 7%. I assumed it was a one time fault.
Recently the device has started doing this from as high charge as 41%.
I assume it's a hardware issue but this is a contract I have on behalf of my girlfriend and before I send it off to be repaired I was hoping someone would be able to confirm this is a hardware fault or suggest a fix if there is a software issue causing this.
She currently has a Shield antivirus software installed and constantly running, SD card installed and not at full storage capacity.
She generally uses the device for internet browsing, some small simple games and streaming shows on Netflix, 4 on demand and the occasional viewing of Youtube.
Any help welcome!

If you do go for repair then go through the phone manufacturer.

I'd go with trying another one but always recommend genuine Samsung batteries not cheap eBay/Amazon rubbish.
