Hi,

I have been getting a msg on my phone for a while now saying that I have low internal phone storage on my phone. I barely have any apps on it, all pics are saved onto the computer, I regulaly clear all logs, msgs and the cache yet I am still getting this msg.

Is there anything else I can do!!

Unfortunately this is a common issue with the Galaxy Ace due to its low internal memory. One thing you can try is to go into settings,  applications then tap on various apps such as Facebook and see how much storage they are using.  You should see a Clear Data button,  this will not uninstall the app it just frees up some memory bring used by it.  Also download an app called Apps2sd from the Play Store.  This allows you to move apps from the internal memory onto an SD card.

I had an online chat with o2 about this yesterday as I am having the same problems. I was told a factory reset is required, but I should back up my phone files using the Samsung Kies programme. I tried this but when the Kies programme is connected I lose my internet connection on my laptop. The whole thing is an utter shambles. I cannot even receive text messages now which is a nightmare. I wonder if I go to an o2 shop they cold do a reset in there? Anyone know?

You don't need an internet connection to make a backup as the phone is connected via the data cable. Just back up (it will be saved on your hard drive) then do a reset from recovery menu.

You need to boot into recovery mode. Do not dial the number as this will not have the same effect.

I have spent the last two hours trying to back up my phone. When it has completed backing up the schedule part of it, the windows connection keeps disconnecting. I am giving up with this phone. Next time I go by an o2 shop, I will see if they can do anything instore. If not I will throw the phone in the River Clyde and go elsewhere for a phone.

Thanks for your help, it is much appreciated.
