Samsung has confirmed the Jelly Bean update is now available.

As you might have noticed, this hasn't gone live yet. We were expecting it to on Friday and are working with Samsung to figure out what went wrong and will update ASAP.

Hey Guys,

Good news! The wait time is almost over for Samsung Galaxy SIII users. From tomorrow, 19th October '12, you'll be be able to upgrade to the much awaited 4.1 Jelly Bean update over Wi-Fi or via Kies.

If you have activated the 'auto-update' feature from out of box, you will be prompted to download the 4.1 Jelly Bean update.

Just watched the demo for Swype on Utube, it looks good.

It's annoying, Swype was pre-installed on the SGSI and SGSII but it looks as though Samsung have decided to create their own version and ditch Swype. It's unfortunate because their version sucks.

The Swype available from http://beta.swype.com works flawlessly in ICS.

Only USA getaway the Google play music feature 😞 which prob true for that up gesture too.

Received update this morning. Was getting the message before saying update are available to people in order in which they request. I have sgs3 branded from o2. Looking smooth and quick so far...

Managed to get Jelly Bean over Kies last night.

Absolutely beautiful, really seamless and smooth. Haven't really explored the other features but impressed with how it runs.

I can't wait for it. Hopefully it includes google wallet. I dont understand why we have been given such a powerful device and so many missed features 😞

The S3 has the hardware & the power to use the NFC chip for contacless payements (as proven by orange) just gotta wait for somebody to introduce a generic app for it
