Samsung has confirmed the Jelly Bean update is now available.

As you might have noticed, this hasn't gone live yet. We were expecting it to on Friday and are working with Samsung to figure out what went wrong and will update ASAP.

Good news! The wait time is almost over for Samsung Galaxy SIII users. From tomorrow, 19th October '12, you'll be be able to upgrade to the much awaited 4.1 Jelly Bean update over Wi-Fi or via Kies.

If you have activated the 'auto-update' feature from out of box, you will be prompted to download the 4.1 Jelly Bean update.

CPW sell unbranded S3's, so you will get your JB when samsung release onto kies. You should get a message on your phone when it's coming out.

When they going to sort kies out all I get when I plug the s3 in is that it can't identify the phone and it doesn't connect,most annoying lol

I also got my phone on contract from CPW so I asked one of the live chat people and this is what got said:

Matthew: Hello there. Even though Jelly Bean(Android 4.1) was supposed to be getting released yesterday, when it eventually does, if I bought my Galaxy S3 at Carphone Warehouse but with an O2 contract, would I be able to update when O2 release the update or do I need to wait for the unbranded version?
Guru : Ryan: I'll check this for you.
Matthew: Thanks.
Guru : Ryan: Yes, you will be able to update the software when it will released by O2.
Guru : Ryan: Is there anything else I can help you with?
Matthew: Is there any update on when it will be released? O2 via Twitter said you're currently working with Samsung to get things sorted ASAP?
Guru : Ryan: As of now there is no update available regarding the launching date.
Guru : Ryan: Once it is launched, it will be displayed on our website
