Update 22/10, 8:00:

Samsung has confirmed the Jelly Bean update is now available.

Update 20/10:

As you might have noticed, this hasn't gone live yet. We were expecting it to on Friday and are working with Samsung to figure out what went wrong and will update ASAP.

Original message:

Hey Guys,

Good news! The wait time is almost over for Samsung Galaxy SIII users. From tomorrow, 19th October '12, you'll be be able to upgrade to the much awaited 4.1 Jelly Bean update over Wi-Fi or via Kies.

If you have activated the 'auto-update' feature from out of box, you will be prompted to download the 4.1 Jelly Bean update.

When are we going to be able to hit the Update? Tried over the Air + Samsung Kies both having no ability to update? Kies says I have the Latest :S 4.0.4 😞

Hopefully this is soon, or an update on ETA?

Matt: and it is showing no update available?
O2 - Deepti: Let me  check  this
Matt: ok Thanks
O2 - Deepti: May I  make  and  model of  your handset?
Matt: Samsung Galaxy S3 GT I9300
O2 - Deepti: There is  no  such update about  the  4.1 jellybean

O2 - Deepti: No Matt, I'm  saying  this announcement must  be  about  to  future
Matt: Yes, the 19th October 2012
Matt: today
Matt: That is what it says by o2
O2 - Deepti: You  have  to  wait for  next  24 hours

Matt: But it says today?
O2 - Deepti: I'm sorry  Matthew as today  we are  not  updating  any  soft ware

Thats looks like a reply from an indian based person who normally never have a bloody clue about anything let alone a software update!!

I would wait and see today but i doubt it will happen! O2 should really come back to this to explain whats happening instead of hiding....

False Advertising on the forums is the best approach, Love to hear what they say next, as if I get you have to wait till future we will keep you updated. I be on the phone wanting my money back....
