Samsung has confirmed the Jelly Bean update is now available.

As you might have noticed, this hasn't gone live yet. We were expecting it to on Friday and are working with Samsung to figure out what went wrong and will update ASAP.

Hey Guys,

Good news! The wait time is almost over for Samsung Galaxy SIII users. From tomorrow, 19th October '12, you'll be be able to upgrade to the much awaited 4.1 Jelly Bean update over Wi-Fi or via Kies.

If you have activated the 'auto-update' feature from out of box, you will be prompted to download the 4.1 Jelly Bean update.

Kies crashes at 99% and I can't connect to the wifi service as it says that there's a network issue, I guess I'm going to have to do a full reset aren't I, but would I have lost all of my game saves anyway during the upgrade process?

^^^^Just look up the game folder in your phone and copy and paste the saves onto your desktop or something??^^^^


I went from being rooted and having a custom rom to flashing the original gingerbread onto my phone. Will this affect me gettin an update? because my phone and kies are telling me theres no update

how do u actually upgrade to jelly bean? mine just keeps saying no upgrade available and from what i get on kiew there is no upgrade?

First, you need to find out whether you've got the o2 firmware on your phone.  Go to the phone's dialler keypad, type *#1234# and it should come up with a screen with three rows of numbers.  Have a look at the one marker CSC and post on here what it says.

o2 branded phone(bought directly from them) will be available now, anything from car phone warehouse or phones4u are unbranded therefor unavailable for a length of time.
