Good news! The wait time is almost over for Samsung Galaxy SIII users. From tomorrow, 19th October '12, you'll be be able to upgrade to the much awaited 4.1 Jelly Bean update over Wi-Fi or via Kies.
If you have activated the 'auto-update' feature from out of box, you will be prompted to download the 4.1 Jelly Bean update.

Hi Tom,
That's because the Jelly Bean update is currently being rolled out in batches for all SIII users on O2. The best thing to do is to try it again in a bit.

@Anonymous wrote:Barclays banking app now sees my Galaxy as a new device and I get error code RP002, meaning I have to phone 03..........something and spend half an hour trying to get it sorted!Sorry to hear that, I punch in my entry code and the app runs just as well as before I updated.
Try going to the app info and wiping cache & data so it asks you to set it up again from scratch.
Not that simple I'm affraid, I wiped my Galaxy S3 and reflashed it with the stock O2 ICS on Friday in readiness for the OTA Jelly Bean update, straight after installing ICS I redownloaded Barclays banking app and it sees the phone as a different device.

Au contraire, I often experienced busy Apple servers and had to wait to get IOS updates!

Moi? Just saying!
It is now available but obviously everybody trying to get it at once isn't going to work!
It's a sizable chunk of data, which is safer downloaded at a decent speed hence the staggered server queuing.
Everything comes to he who waits!

I got it at 7am this morning, hence no queue. And judging by assumptions there is a queue to get it.... Please just be nice and wait guys for this and lets not turn into them people that wait annually outside an Apple store to get that new device....
I'm sure your turn will come!!!!

The camera application doesn't seem to have changed though and I thought that was one of the things that was improved. Has anyone else's changed?

All of the camera app comments are about the stock (vanilla) Jelly Bean camera app by google, and the google gallery app. Samsung completely replaces these with their own, so those particular update notes do not apply.
In the samsung app touching the screen causes it to focus on that point, the swipe gesture is ignored, the gallery loads up to display previously taken images when you hit the thumbnail.

I'm another one of these "strange" cases where I pre-ordered the phone direct from o2 but have the unlocked firmware rather than the o2 supplied one!
Strange that some do and some don't! Wonder if it was down to a "panic and send them out now" mentality because of the manufacturing problem delay?
