Update 22/10, 8:00:

Samsung has confirmed the Jelly Bean update is now available.

Update 20/10:

As you might have noticed, this hasn't gone live yet. We were expecting it to on Friday and are working with Samsung to figure out what went wrong and will update ASAP.

Original message:

Hey Guys,

Good news! The wait time is almost over for Samsung Galaxy SIII users. From tomorrow, 19th October '12, you'll be be able to upgrade to the much awaited 4.1 Jelly Bean update over Wi-Fi or via Kies.

If you have activated the 'auto-update' feature from out of box, you will be prompted to download the 4.1 Jelly Bean update.

JB

I'm just curious to know what is Kies? I see alot of people speaking about it but I'm still unsure.

Is it Samsungs answer to iTunes?

I can't say I've ever been a great fan of iTunes..it's okay at best but that's about it. Plus we had a falling out a few years back (managed to wipe 6 month worth of stuff off my phone).

Barclays banking app now sees my Galaxy as a new device and I get error code RP002, meaning I have to phone 03..........something and spend half an hour trying to get it sorted! Smiley Frustrated

Sorry to hear that, I punch in my entry code and the app runs just as well as before I updated.

Try going to the app info and wiping cache & data so it asks you to set it up again from scratch.

I've just read the last 3 pages with 2 or 3 people all asking the same questions that have already been answered. Do your own legwork and read through the posts rather than expecting someone else to retype the same answers over and over please.....
