I received a code to unlock my galaxy S8+ and it didnt work. Im wanting to use a sky sim. O2 have now escalated to the relevent team but yet again being made to wait and I now have a feeling the phone might be permanantly locked

It won't be hardlocked after 2 attempts.
Are you sure it's an NCK they are sending you ?

I honestly thought unlock codes were longer but it's been a while since I did one.
Either way, do not enter it again and I'll tag in @EmilieT to see if she can help you tomorrow.
