My Galaxy S3 is nearly full, but on looking at the phone I find there is a Trash folder with nearly 1Gb of files, folders etc.

What process empties the trash can?  I can only find how to empty cache.

Any help?

Pam

You got file commander installed?
If so, it creates a trash folder that can be deleted

Manually delete them yourself or more drastically, you could do a factory reset which will clear even more space, but back up the photos, videos etc first as they will be deleted.

After some research I contacted the Samsung UK support at Leeds.  They had no idea what might have created this folder, but talked me through taking a backup of the phone, then assisted me in deleting the folder.

All seems well, but I will keep my eyes on the Trash folder in the furtue.

Big thanks to Ashley at Samsung Support at Leeds.  Fantastic
