Solved: Samsung Galaxy Ace prob uploading to laptop

i am so frustrated with trying to work out how to upload my pics to my laptop. so used to using my nokia. thought i'd be brave and get the samsung galaxy ace, but being an oldy i cannot fathom out this task... used the normal usb cable etc but nothing shows. uploaded kies... but not sure what to do?

Open Kies and connect the phone with your data cable. Your PC should start loading the phone drivers (It may take a few mins). After that you can close Kies and copy files in windows explorer or stay in Kies and use the Import / Export options.
