Samsung Galaxy A3 will not register to network

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have a SIM that works on multiple devices barring a Galaxy A3 - purchased from o2. Another new SIM has the same issue. So (most of the time) I can see o2 Network when selecting a mobile network (auto select just seems to hang), but when I select o2, it displays 'Registering on O2-UK..', for a few mins then stops. I'm left with no service. I can get on Wi-fi, but cannot see a mobile network. I have set APN settings manually and as default O2, but still have no network (and therefore no mobile data too).

Any suggestions?

Sounds like the phone is faulty so I'd take it back.
