SIM only deal, and buying a new phone?

Anonymous
Not applicable

Me again!

I currently have a Sony Xperia M4 Aqua (which I HATE) and am thinking about getting rid, and getting an iphone possibly.  Can I buy an iphone from o2, then just swap the sim over, or will I have to have an unlocked phone to use the sim in.

Sorry, not very tech savvy I'm afraid!

Thanks

Yes any O2 locked phone or a sim free unlocked one can be used.
You will need to call CS though and ask them to change your data bolt on to be used with an iPhone.
This is free to do.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

If your sim is the same size you can just swap it. Alternatively you can get a sim that's the correct size and swap sims. Either way you would also have to call customer service and have them switch your data plan to idata. Be aware that if you buy an iPhone from O2 it will lock it to the network. You might want to think about buying an unlocked one direct from Apple.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Apple fix most prices to be roughly the same everywhere.
Even if your O2 phone locks to O2 it's easy to unlock it, so no major cause for concern.
