2. It's draining the battery with no benefit to me
3. It's using up my monthly bandwidth allowance.
AFICT Samsung have this fixed as 'can't be removed'.
Is that true please?
Without rooting the device, is there any easy way to cripple
this app or stop it doing it's wasteful thing?
Otherwise its going back to O2.

Set one of these up recently for my daughter. Did not find anything that could not be removed.
What does ap mobile do exactly?
Its a newsreader/RSS type of feed from AP news.
The nasty bit is that it downloads new items every hour or two,
hence my minimal data quotient will be used up in a few days.
Not nice of O2 to install this then let me have such a small data allowance?
They must know about it / have had complaints.

Isn't that a widget? Should be able to drag it to the top and dump it in the bin. That will give you space. If you find the app I'm sure you can set it to how often it polls for information. Should be able to set it up to 'never'.
It is both an app and has a widget. Settings are available, but only if 'put on the front page'... I read. I don't know how to as yet (2 days old phone and hacking at it already. Not impressed)
I tried killing it, but it 're-appeared' again.
