Hi,
I recently upgraded to an S9+ from the S7 Edge. With my S7, I was able to easily get to emojis as it was next to the extra symbols icon, but now it's a longer process (have to click the symbol top left and then another one). Just wondering if I am able to move the icon to where it was on the S7 (bottom left).

I doubt you can change that to the original position. Personally I find the Swiftkey keyboard much better.

I have the S8+ and I see what @-Ben- means because it is very similar on the S8+. The comma is now where the emojis key was originally and there is a block above the numbers keys containing emojis, gifs, stickers, settings and Google assistant all changed as a result of the update to Oreo. I still find myself hitting the comma when I want an emoji and hitting the extra symbols key when I want a comma. I do get there in the end but wish they hadn't changed it. After all, if it ain't broke........

So a new keyboard seems to be needed. I couldn't take to the Google keyboard but it's all down to personal choice. SwiftKey gives me the text directional arrows, a nice ManU colour and smilie key where it should be 😁
