S4 says low on disc space? ??

My S4 which is a year old has recently started showing a warning message saying it is low on disc space.

I have 16gb on the device and a 16gb memory card. The device is showing over 7gb available and the memory card over 3gb available.

Have looked to move the few non system apps to the sd card but hardly any of them offer this option. Cache is cleared daily. Of course Samsung and Google force a load of totally useless apps on you bit the device is sim free so no o2 bloatWare.

Any ideas? ??

I just cannot for the life of me see what else they have done. There has been no improvement in performance or signal (which is why it went in) and now two more issues.

Feeling grrrrrrrr with o2 social media and o2 repairs 😈

Hi Lee

Yes I raised a case with Samsung but they say the phone would have to go away for 3 weeks with no replacement. Just can't do that.

Hi @Anonymous

It amazes me still How we are all attached to our gadgets and gizmos for various reasons. wink

I was in a coffee shop yesterday and while people watching realised how many had a phone stuck to their hand ( me included. wink )

If this was me I would ask family / friends for a loan phone as most people have one knocking around in a drawer, or buy a dumb down one for little cost, and get my primary phone sent off to the manufacturer.

But that's me and I in no way suggest my way should be your way.

Interestingly I have just swapped my S4 16gb to a Note 3 32gb and 3 days in and I am getting the same message but only when I use Facebook App.

Facebook runs at up to 200mb at its peak. Quite alarming really.

I think the low disc space warning is a kitkat error
