Restricted mode has turned on on my YouTube and is saying it requires administrator to turn off

You should be able to turn this off by following the instructions below:

This is possibly a Parental Control, that is a bit over zealous, but can be worked round in the settings of Youtube.

Many have been effected by thhis issue thhis week and we have @O2Lisa looking into it.

Try turnng off parental control / age restriction Guide: O2 Age restriction but if it's not that @O2Lisa will contact you to check your account in the morning.

FWIW this doesn't seem to happen with unlocked devices so, O2 firmware related? My phone was bought unlocked and if I turn WiFi off, on 5G restricted mode for YouTube is still turned off.
