Re: LG android device and text messages that do not appear in my inbox

Hi to All and grreeetings from bth a newbie to the site and to the concept of the supposedly 'smart' phone!!

It would appear that every time I have to switch my phone off for several hours ( if am at work fro example). . . any messages I might have received simply aren't getting through. . nor for the rest of that particular day but on two occasions now about 24hrs later they ALll come thru in one great batch around midnight!! Given that am a festival organiser and have two in the next two weeks, am getting vry concerned about this problem, can't keep my fone on silent for risk of signal cutting across pa systems . . wondering if anyone else has had similar problems with an LG device?

Many thanks

W

There seems to be a few cases reported recently about slow text delivery across the network and on different devices, so it may not be anything wrong with your phone or sim. I'd suggest anyone with an issue to contact CS and report the problem citing a number of other users with known problems and ask them to escalate it to the network team.

that's good to know MI5, thank you - used to get on very well with simple handset . . but since switched, seems to be fraught with technical difficulty, but as you say, highly likely to be a more generalised problem - will call cs in the morn

Be prepared for them to tell you there's nothing wrong but you must insist that it gets looked at. Refer them back to the forum where they can search on the many recent text problem threads if need be.....
