Question about pre-installed apps on S3

Can I delete the pre-installed apps such as ebay without casuing problems?  Sorry for the daft question, only got up and running yesterday

Settings >Manage Applications >All. Click to open the app in question and if it says "Uninstall" or "Disable" at the top right it is safe to to so.

Any unwanted icons on the screen can be removed by holding down and dragging them to the remove button.
