Query - Samsung S3 LTE

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi guys. I'm hoping someone can give me an answer, because the o2 online advisor can't.

There seems to be two samsung s3 handsets - the galaxy s3 and the galaxy s3 LTE (4G) - EE offer them both. The LTE has different colours and a slightly different spec and is 4g compatible, obviously.

My upgrade is due in 3 days. I want a samsung s3. o2 reckon they will be going live with 4g in April 2013. So, if i'm going to commit to handset for 24 months I want it to be future proof.

BUT from what I can see, o2 are only offering the non LTE handset? or am I missing something ?

Thanks,

Ryan

No you're not, 4G is unlikely to be widely available for another year yet but O2 are rolling out HSPA+ now which will be about 21Mbps, which the S3 is compatible with.

The 4G coverage from EE is only in certain cities right now.

When O2 do start with 4G they will be running at a different band to EE and their coverage inside buildings will be better.

If you're thinking of EE do take a look at the reviews first.
