Hi,

I'm thinking off purchasing a pixel 3 XL from O2, one of my concerns is with updates. The Google security patches are released each month usually the first Monday of the month.

Can anyone confirm, does the pixel 3 xl receive the update from google or are they modified by O2 then sent to pixel handsets?

If they are modified by O2, generally how quick are they at sending out the monthly patches?

Thanks

@Danielle2

All Pixel updates come directly from Google.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

@Danielle2  Shop around before buying from O2, if you have a sim only contract and you're just buying the phone. Chances are you'll find it cheaper elsewhere.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Brilliant that's what I was hoping was the case.

Thanks for the advice. O2 are seller the phone on contract this month with £400 off, far more discount than what Google are offering.
