Check house insurance if no specific phone insurance in place.
Also, some bank accounts provide free perks such as phone insurance.
If not, you'll just have to buy a new one.

Doesn't sound too promising, @Anonymous. Without insurance there isn't much you can do. You can Google various methods of drying your phone, but there's no guarantee that it will work again, or ever really be the same. I think you may just have to invest in a new phone. Sorry.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Expensive lesson I'm afraid. If you need a new sim pop into your local O2 store and they will supply one. Any unlocked phone or O2 phone will work with your sim but your contract continues if indeed you have one.

Or don't have one. As regardless if you use the sim, you will still have to pay the agreed subscription

iPhones would not be damaged that fast once dropped in (water, cola beverages, etc). Did you not get it out immediately once it fell in? Judging from your post, it seems so careless and could of been avoided. Sorry to say, without insurance you're pretty much screwed unless you're within your 1 year limited warranty period with Apple themselves.

Warranty does not cover water damage so makes no difference.
Apple care + would cover it but that is insurance and as stated the op doesn't have any.
