On Sunday I received an offer of £269 for my Samsung tablet. I boxed it up and made sure it was well protected.  The tablet was only 6 months old and kept in a case and rarely used. The it was kept in excellent condition.  I received my email today claiming there had been a change of 80% off the first quote ! O2 are claiming that the screen is cracked. I tried to make contact with them but I was told they wouldn't be available till tomorrow morning and the complaints branch can't see anything  ?

Something isn't adding up .

Make sure you are calling o2 recycle and not o2 customer services

https://www.o2recycle.co.uk/contact-us

Which courier did you send it by, as with some no amount of protection will stop it being damaged..

Also be aware prices for devices are plummeting as there is a rush of people selling old phones...

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

This happens often with O2 Recycle. We always advise people to take pictures of any device they send back and to let them know you have done so.

Contact them again tomorrow and ask them to send the tablet back. Try other recycling outlets and you will find someone will offer you a better price.

You would think putting it in its original box and sleeve plus putting it in another box with padding should be enough.

Ask O2 recycle to return it to you and then claim off the insurance that you took out when sending it in the first place.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
