O2 Note 8 Pre Order Pricing

Anonymous
Not applicable

Not sure what O2 are thinking with their pre order pricing on the Note 8. I bought the Note 7 last year and had to return it and have been waiting all year for this phone. Now it is officially on pre order I spoke to the upgrades team who have this phone valued at £953 lol even Argos has it listed at £869 WTF, not only this for the exact same tarif that I am currently paying £15.39 for I would have to pay £30 for the same deal.

What a complete load of nonsence, O2 you need to sorth this out, you have just lost a customer. I have now purchased direct with samsung £869 and interest free credit for 24 months. Saving me over £400 on buying from O2. Will now decide if I keep my contract with O2 or switch networks as my new phone will be unlocked slight_smile

It's a free country for anyone to pick and choose as they wish.
If you don't want a refresh tariff there are cheaper options, but many do prefer that flexibility.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Not sure what o2 refresh has to do with it? I'm currently out of contract on a SIM only deal I just wanted cheapest option to buy the Note 8 and stick with O2. But as it stands there £400 more expensive than buying direct from samsung.

Just that Refresh gives you the option to upgrade at any time by paying off the handset, albeit at an over inflated price. For some that's a big benefit. Personally I would buy from Samsung as I did with the last Note.

As explained it gives you flexibility if that's what you want.
I too bought my Note 4 direct from Samsung as that was the cheapest option for me too but it doesn't suit everyone.

Deals come & go all the time. It depends on what's available at the time

I decided after last year having to return the note7 twice I wouldn't pre order the note8. I actually ordered it today. Handset works out to 24 x £33 = £792 with £29.99 upfront. I think this is an OK price really

I think the price will drop after the pre order phase. Always does

That's why I'm waiting tbh quite apart from the Note7 fiasco. I'm sure the 8 will be brilliant, it has to be! 😉
