Note 4 battery issue

Anonymous
Not applicable

My Note 4 has just been repaired by an insurance company after it became bent.  They fixed the phone and it looks great but the bent battery wasn't replaced but instead they bent it straight (ish) again.  I am very concerned that this damaged battery may leak or worse but am I being paranoid?

Samsung are not responding to my question but doubtless they are very busy now the Note 7 has gone so horribly wrong.

Thanks all.

I've not heard of them but I don't insure my phones so have never dealt with anything like this through insurers.
Keep us updated please.

Maybe ultra careful . My phones are insured through the bank. It makes sense to have some form of insurance given the price of a smartphone these days.

Risk assessed and not beneficial to me personally.

Mine would be covered on the house insurance policy if I ever had a disaster but I only believe in having essential insurance.
I think it makes me more careful if I know I'd have to cover any costs myself.

Of course and you would be able to fix most issues yourself....though it's common knowledge that my phone(s) never get used as much as yours. Dance

I really hate computers, I just spent half an hour tying an update and when I clicked post it didn't post. Oh well here is the short version. Samsung have finally confirmed that SBE is an authorised repair centre but Samsung's Public Liabilty Team is now in charge and they have decided that stonewalling the issue is the best way to deal with wider public safety problems. I am useless at this social media stuff but the kids are teaming up with school friends to do a YouTube video and highlight the issues using this wonderful thing called social media. To be fair I am from the wrong generation and I have heard some of the words they use like Hashtag and Viral but they are just that to me, words. We will just have to wait and see if the kids can get Samsung to engage with the issue because I have tried and failed to get them to. Thanks for you comments so far. All the best Mark

I'm of the same generation too. Leave it to the kids, they know the power that pressure from social media can give to any issues these days. Do keep us informed @Anonymous slight_smile
