I've asked for your post to be moved to the correct board.
Check any Household Contents Insurance. Some Bank Accounts give cover too for mobile phones.
Excess Fees may apply.
If you do not have either of the two above options then as long as no damage has
been caused internally through the damage to the screen you would be looking
at £100-£150.
O2 would send it away to be looked at and then would contact you to provide a
costing and your permission to carry out the work. Another option is for a
high street phone shop to replace the parts.
This could invalidate the remaining warranty as most are not authorised engineers.

Hi @Anonymous
Another option would be to contact an HTC repairer direct (This company specialises in screen repairs)
http://www.htc-phone-repairs.co.uk/#loaded
Or the contact details for HTC in the UK are http://www.htc.com/uk/contact/phone/

Unfortunately (from experience) any bank account phone cover would've specified that you register the imei of the phone/s that you wanted the coverage on!
So even if you've got that "perk", unless the phone's been registered it's extremely unlikely it's actually covered.

Far better to contact the manufacturer so that any repair won't invalidathe remaining warranty, if any.
If that isn't too much of a concern then any mobile phone shop will give you an estimate.

The link I gave showed repairs/replacements costing between £45-£70....(and next day return) I suppose it very much depends on the value of the phone...
