Solved: Nexus 5 photo deletion

How can photos (a) be deleted from the Nexus 5 (b) be deleted from the auto-backup of Nexus 5?

To delete off phone either press and hold or press menu (three dots) and select the photos before selecting the delete option.

Are you backing up to dropbox, picassa or G+ ?
Either way you need to go to whichever cloud service you use and delete from that server as the phone will still be replicating what is backed up there.
