After a strange 2 month hiatus, my Note 9 finally updated to the latest security patch today.

This is a critical patch from google that has had some press for the holes it patches.

This is the first time since my S8+ nearly 2 years ago that I have had a single month missed.

Also included the wide selfie mode.

( should be noted that mine is an unlocked BTU device on O2)

Your updates will be totally reliant on Samsung to push them out to you.
O2 won't be involved at all in the process.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Correct.
But historically BTU is within a few days of O2U, EVR et al.

Promising that one of the varients has been updated past February. The rest will be among shortly.

BTU and XEU otherwise non-carrier specific firmware is generally always released before a carrier-specific release, purely due to the testing a carrier will do before giving the manufacturer the tumbs up to release.

Kindest Regards,
Andrew.

Yeah. The past few Carrier releases have been within a week or so of the BTU release, some a couple of days different.
