Moto E freezes when ringing out.

Hi.

I have just got a Motorola Moto E on contract.

The problem I have is intermittent. When I ring someone the phone freezes and I have to swith it off to get it working again, then it works fine for a while until it does it again. Also if I text it refuses to send the message.

It doesn't do it all the time just now and again.

Any help would be appreciated.

If under 14 days old id be taking it back as faulty.

http://service.o2.co.uk/IQ/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=Companion,question=ref(User):str(Mobile),C... if obtained from O2

If not check the returns process of where you got it.

I would be taking it back too if under the 14 days.

Possibly an app with permissions to the phone book and contacts causing the problem so you could try a factory reset after backing up or deleting any apps with these permissions.

Hi

No worries.

If it was older then you'd be stuck with performing various resets and trying out tips but you shouldn't have to with such a newly obtained handset.

Let us know how you get on.

Try safe mode.
Press the Power button and when the menu pops up tap and hold on the Power off option and then tap OK.
If you don’t experience any random lockups in safe mode you can assume that one of the apps you've installed.
