For those interested, Samsung have begun a preview program for Mashamallow on the S6 and S6 Edge.

To join you must have a Samsung Account, then download the "Galaxy Care" application from the Google Play store (it can also be found in Galaxy Apps) and select 'Join Beta' from the app.

NB: I believe you need to have a unbranded version of the handsets, so just a heads up on that before everyone advises they cannot see the app.

Yes it is for phones with generic Samsung firmware only at the moment.

I feel a disturbance in the force, as if 5 million handsets were just connected to odin.

Looks as if some HTC devices are also on the verge of the update, but as with Samsung phones, probably only unlocked, unbranded devices at the moment.

As long as you remove the network lock first but you run the risk of tripping the Knox fuse unless you only go up a firmware level.
