Did you at any point clear data or cache?

It had been reported that a bug with some cache cleaner apps that delete data from here app, they are working on a fix for this.

Anyway dont matter as you've found another app

It is a possibility that I cleared the cache. The fact that they're working on a fix didn't help me much, as I'd already done it. But as you say, I have another very good app that serves my purposes both here and abroad. No point in filling up the phone's memory with stored maps from two different apps.
