Lollipop and the M8

I see that Lollipop has been released to the Google Play editions of the M8 but is there anything definitive as to when we can expect to receive it via O2, or will it be BT by then 😉

Nothing concrete as of yet I'm afraid, but in general I think you're likely looking at early in the new year for the popular handsets - it seems to be following a similar sort of schedule to KitKat last year, if that's anything to go by.

Hi @Anonymous

Htc are still working on it, no timescale. They said they would release it for Nexus 9 next month but no mention when they would do it for the handsets.

My personal opinion, it may be a good thing.... There are quite a few issues reported (crashing, adobe not working, etc) that are currently being investigated by google.

It's not always a god thing to get it first:smileywink:

Thanks. I didn't have to wait too long for KitKat as it arrived a few days after I moved from a Windows to Android phone. Appreciate that Google would aim to have its branded products updated first but hope that any change to O2's ownership won't further delay Lollipops release to the masses.
