Locked out of phone

I recieved my new Sony L1 today and it shut down and added updates, it's now asking for a pin to open it, I don't have a pin! I have my password but it's not giving me the option to change from numbers to letters to put my password in, please help!

Sure it's not your Google password it's asking for ?

Hi @La1n3y 

 

If it isnt the google account password its asking for you can try resetting the phone back to factory settings. There are videos tutorials you can search for on places like google and Youtube where they will show you how to do it by using the physical buttons on the phone. WARNING- If you do reset the phone back to factory settings it will delete ALL of your personal content from the device such as messages, photos, contacts etc.. but if its a new phone i cant imagine you've got much content on there anyway.
