Jelly Bean for Samsung Galaxy S2 ('P')

So I just read on this forum that Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) became available to Samsung Galaxy SII owners from 23-01-2013. (see http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Android-Devices-Samsung-HTC-Sony/Jelly-Bean-for-Galaxy-S2-Roll-out-star... )

Problem is, there is still no firmware update available for me through Kies, presumably because I have the 'P' / NFC version of the SII (model: GT-I9100P).

When will Jelly Bean be released for the 'P' model?  I was not told at any time when signing my contract that I would be given a 'P' version of the phone and I don't even use the NFC functionality.

Cheers,

Ben

Do we think O2 is going to release the Jelly Bean update for the I9100P any time soon?

I do use NFC but was fed up that O2 were being so slow, now I am just annoyed that Orange got there first.

I am thinking maybe just using Tasker in the meantime to automate what I do with NFC and use the I9100 update, but I do not want to mess about just for O2 to release the I9100P update a couple of days later.

Decisions decisions.

Tasker will only automate the function that needs to be available on the phone. Without the P variant firmware you will not have NFC available at all. If you are unlocked you can use the Orange firmware in the meantime.
