Jelly Bean for Samsung Galaxy S2 ('P')

Anonymous
Not applicable

So I just read on this forum that Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) became available to Samsung Galaxy SII owners from 23-01-2013. (see http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Android-Devices-Samsung-HTC-Sony/Jelly-Bean-for-Galaxy-S2-Roll-out-star... )

Problem is, there is still no firmware update available for me through Kies, presumably because I have the 'P' / NFC version of the SII (model: GT-I9100P).

When will Jelly Bean be released for the 'P' model?  I was not told at any time when signing my contract that I would be given a 'P' version of the phone and I don't even use the NFC functionality.

Cheers,

Ben

If you don't use NFC just flash your phone with the stock O2 firmware for the international version.

Kies won't be interested as the hardware is saying P version but the software is saying I version - It's too difficult for Kies to compute so it shuts off slight_smile
If you are bothered about Kies updates in the future, wait until O2 release the P software then flash it with Odin. Kies will then be happy once again.
