Hi, I'm new to all this so please accept my apologies if someone has already posted this question. I have the P version of the galaxy s2 which was bought at the O2 store in castleford. My question is when will I receive the 4.0.4 update as all my friends on other networks have it and my phone has never worked righ since I updated to the 4.0.3 version. Could someone please help me with this, as I have asked O2 customer service and the technical department and everyone I speak to don't know what I'm talking about! Which is very annoying. Thank you in advance

Mine is the same - there's a discrepancy between what *#1234# reports (4.0.4) and what the Settings -> About reports (4.0.3).

Never seen that before, can you post some screen shots? Did you reset after upgrading?

Yep followed the instructions posted on here and went from Gingerbread to ICS.

Ah, I can see that O2 have packaged the 4.03 kernel with the 4.04 release, which means that baseband and modem will be 4.04 but on the older 4.03 kernel.... Seems strange but then so does most things that O2 do with their F/W. I can only assume it is something to do with security and the NFC function.
