From the title you guys can probably guess the situation... So my question is regarding water damage. Does anyone have any advice or have had personal experience with water damage? My primary question is: is there anything i can do?

First thing to do is switch the phone off and dont try to use it. Remove the sim card Usual advice is to place in a sealed bag of rice and leave it at least a week and hope that it drys out. Wipe all the surpluss water from the phone first with a dry cloth and tissues.

If this fails, check your home insurance or bank account for cover for personal items.

Best to leave it for a week if possible. Don't use a hairdryer as this tends to push water into all the crevicies.

About 4 or 5 years ago, my wife dropped her phone in the loo and i stuck it in the oven at 50c for about half an hour. Still works today!
