Hey all,

Sorry for the delay in me responding - unfortunately I've had a lot on this week so just trying to catch-up a bit. With regards to the Mate 20 Pro, our device team look to approve security updates with a quick turnaround, and we have specifically approved quite a few security updates from Huawei and Honor in recent weeks.

To clarify, Huawei are sending us security updates as normal (like they have been for months/years) and we're approving these with a quick turnaround, but from there on out - it's Huawei that schedule and push the update. We've more info on security updates and updated in general right here.

@Chris_K ?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Thank you for coming back to us.

Relating to this matter, please note that I have checked and a request has been made on your name by one of my colleagues. However, it might be that due to the large number of updates that need to be sent, our Development team has not yet reached your request. However, I have created a follow up, and we hope that the security patch will be sent to you phone as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience.
Should you have any further inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
This is the reply back from Huawei UK this morning.

I've just got the 9.1.0.229 July security update for the Honor 20 which is O2 branded so it should be available soon.
