How can I tell if my samsung galaxy s2 is locked to o2 network

I would like to know if it is possible to tell if your phone is locked to the o2 network or not.

Does anyone know if there is a way of telling this from the phone without puting another sim in from another mobile network.

There are companies online where you pay a small fee who check out your imei number.

I would go with the try another networks sim thought.

Try dialling the following code into your phone keypad: *#7465625#

If the list all display as OFF then the phone is unlocked.

Where you bought it from could be a good indication...

Did you buy direct from O2, or another retailer like phones 4 u etc? Did you get it new or second hand? Does it show a blue screen with an O2 logo on start-up (the 'splash screen')
