Help ... Anyone ... Please
I've put a password on my Xperia L1 phone ... dunno why ?
This means I have to sign in every bleeping time I use the phone
Gmail on phone now no longer shows any emails ... whereas ... laptop does
I usually use an address book with individual passwords in
Of late I've been using one easily remembered by me
Uppercase / Lowercase / Number(s) / sign(s)
I really really need it to go back to before ... or ... top stop the pain in the 'r$e rigmarole of signing in each naffing time
Any help will be much appreciated

Is this the password for Google Account or is it SIM password or the password that you can set before the phone will boot?

hello, thank you all for your help to date
sorry for causing any confusion
Would it help if this thread & my other thread: Xperia L1 & laptop ... were to be merged ?
To confirm:
Emails are alright on laptop
phone still needs password ... it's just tedious keying it in everytime after phone screen has gone black ... I'm generally playing on my phone when out & at home
phone still shows emails at up to 20 June & no more ... whereas ... for a brief time Monday it showed emails up to date
I've set up an emergency 'screen' which I'd like to keep
the screen shows, before keying in password, eg "Wispa's" Android which I'd like to keep
thank you all for your time & patience
Going offline soon ... but only after seeing if @Bambino has posted a Wednesday Laugh

thank you @MI5
I fully intend to do as you advise
just atm, let's say, I'm not up to doing it ... my health is not up to it right now, it will get better soon, it usually does
thank you again for pointing me in the right direction
