HTC One texts not being received

Anonymous
Not applicable
For around a week or so, my HTC One has been unable to receive texts, until I make a phone call which seems to reopen the line again and the texts start coming in. The weird thing is my network signal is at max, which makes me think it may be an issue with the network rather than the device, but I'm not really sure.

I've tried factory resetting, removing the SIM card then restarting the device and resetting the sms centre number, all to no avail. Any help would be appreciated as this is a new device which I really enjoy using otherwise.

Hi,

Check the Service status first.

http://status.o2.co.uk/

Try removing your Sim Card and wiping it down to remove static build up.

Another option is to replace your current Sim Card by picking up a blank Sim Card from your local 02 shop, or ask for one to be posted to you.

Then carry out the SwapMySim procedure in store or online.

I have included the link to do this.

Take into account it takes from approx 2 hours to 24 hours to fully activate, and by turning your phone off and on throughout this period helps to reset your services.

Another option would be to have your handset checked out by the manufacturer.
