Solved: HTC Desire Upgrade

Hi,

This is probably a question everywhere but I can't find the answer after lots of searching.

After a 2 year contract, I'm due an upgrade from my HTC Desire S in March, and am wondering about the upgrade.

Is the upgrade free for any phone, or only phones that are similar ie. the latest HTC model of equal value?

If I were to upgrade to something else like a Samsung or iPhone, would I have to pay money? I'm hoping I'm just going to be able to ask for a new HTC when the time comes and pay nothing...is that realistic?

The word upgrade doesn't really mean much, you can either stay on the contract you have now, which will become a 30 day rolling contract, or choose from what phones and deals are available in March here:

You could try choosing a phone and ringing O2 to see if they can offer you a better deal than what is in the online shop.
